BIO- POEM and Kite Collage Assignment

I would like you to paint a picture of yourself with words and then prepare a representative personal kite collage. Follow the form of the sample Bio-poem below making sure that you use words that are descriptive, colorful and lively. It should be YOUR creative expression about YOU and your first impression you make as a writer this year.

Part One:
1) Using the Bio-Poem form on the other side of this sheet, jot down your ideas and come up with a rough draft.
2) Edit and revise your rough draft.
3) Type up your poem and print a final copy making sure that the font size you use makes your poem fit the whole page.
Step Two:
1) Using the blank “kite” paper, create a collage of pictures, photos, art, wrappers, tickets, labels, etc. to represent most of the ideas…the YOU of your BIO-POEM. (Do not use anything really valuable or that would be horrible if lost since occasionally things do fall off a collage and we don’t have collage loss insurance.)
